Why it exists

A television service either works in your living room, or it does not

Every provider in this market makes the same claims. Channel counts, uptime figures, picture quality — they all read identically on a web page. The only honest way to separate them is to put one on your screen, on your line, at the hour you actually watch.

That is what the intro month is for. CA$10.99 buys a full thirty days of unrestricted access: the entire lineup, the whole on-demand shelf, the programme guide, catch-up, and the pay-per-view nights. Nothing is throttled, nothing is withheld for a higher tier, and nothing renews behind your back.

If it holds up, move to a longer term and the per-month cost drops sharply — the pricing page sets out each one. If it does not suit you, you have spent less than a takeaway coffee habit finding out.

“We would rather lose an argument in month one than keep somebody paying for a service that does not fit their connection.”

CanadTV support desk, Ottawa
  • Full access, not a sample. All 23,400+ channels and 96,000+ titles are live from minute one.
  • Same infrastructure. You are on the identical servers as our 12-month subscribers.
  • One device, exactly as on every other plan, through IBO Player.
  • No automatic renewal. At day thirty we ask; we do not charge.
  • One per household. The intro rate is for new customers and redeems once.

To be clear about the wording: this is a paid month at a reduced introductory price, not a giveaway. We do not run free periods, and we would be sceptical of anyone who does — the cost has to sit somewhere, and it usually reappears as an oversold server.

Order the intro month — CA$10.99

Three steps to being on air

From placing the order to watching a channel is usually under twenty minutes during opening hours.

  1. Place the order

Open the checkout page and choose Try 1 Month — CA$10.99 from the plan list. Fill in your name, email and phone, and tell us which device you plan to watch on. Nothing is charged on that page.

  2. Complete the payment

We reply with a single-use secure payment link. Card, Interac e-Transfer or cryptocurrency all work. Once it clears, an operator activates the line by hand and checks it before anything is sent to you.

  3. Sign in and watch

Your welcome email carries the server address with its port, your username and your password. Pair IBO Player using the installation guide, load the playlist, and the full grid appears. Check the junk folder if nothing arrives within twenty minutes.

What to actually test during the month

Most people watch three channels for ten minutes and declare it fine. A more useful thirty days looks like this:

  • Watch at peak. Saturday between 20:00 and 23:00 is when weak networks fall over. If it holds then, it holds.
  • Open the guide and scroll back. Catch-up either works properly or it does not; find out in week one.
  • Try the channels you actually care about, not the ones at the top of the list. Regional feeds are where quality varies most.
  • Test on your slowest room. The far end of the house on wifi is the real test, not the router.
  • Message the support desk once, even with a trivial question, to see how fast a human answers.

Device-specific setup notes live in the guides for Android, Fire TV, Samsung and LG, Windows and MAG boxes.

Common questions about the intro month

Does it renew into a paid plan automatically?

No. At the end of the thirty days the line simply stops. We message you beforehand to ask whether you would like to continue, and you choose a term at that point.

Is anything restricted compared with the 12-month plan?

Nothing at all in terms of content or quality. The only difference is the support response target: twelve months carries a named contact and a faster queue.

Can I take the intro rate twice?

It is intended for new customers and redeems once per household. If you are returning after a gap, write to us and we will look at it case by case.

What if it genuinely does not work on my line?

Tell the desk what is happening and we will try to fix it; most problems are a player-engine setting. Where the fault is ours and lasts beyond 72 consecutive hours, the refund policy sets out the credit you are owed.
