3. Legal basis for processing
Where required by law in Canada or an equivalent framework, our legal basis is contract performance (delivering your subscription), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security, analytics), legal obligation, or consent where we ask for it explicitly.
4. Data sharing
We share data only with payment processors completing transactions under their own privacy policies, infrastructure and CDN providers processing data on our behalf under data processing agreements, and legal authorities where required by law or court order. All processors must maintain appropriate security and are barred from using your data for their own marketing.

After the retention period, data is permanently deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law in Canada, you may have the right to access the data we hold, correct inaccurate data, delete your data subject to legal retention requirements, restrict or object to certain processing, receive your data in a portable machine-readable format, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Write to [email protected], or use the contact form, and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Data security
We apply TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive account information, access controls limiting who can view personal data, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure; in the event of a breach affecting your rights we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law in Canada.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13, or the applicable age of digital consent in Canada. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
10. International transfers
Your data is processed and stored in secure data centres. Where data moves outside Canada, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections are put in place.
